

The duties of the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs are one of the pillars on which the Deanship of the College (College of Basic Education/Al-Shirqat) is based, and it is the main circle responsible for following up on conferences, seminars, seminars, and scientific activities in the college, in addition to following up the affairs of primary and postgraduate students and their discipline during their university studies and after their graduation from the college. Among the tasks of the Office of the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs are answering the incoming books, following up on the students' attendance and absence, their commitment to the uniform, checking the minutes of the student discipline committees, following up on the preparation of exam schedules in coordination with the scientific departments, and ensuring the application of the instructions and controls issued by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in addition to the instructions in force for the Presidency of Tikrit University.

1. Organizing the final exam schedules in coordination with the scientific departments of the college.
2. Organizing weekly lesson schedules in coordination with the scientific departments and in the light of the classrooms to ensure the smooth conduct of postgraduate studies.
3. Supervise the record of weekly lectures prepared for this purpose in order to ensure the coverage of all the hours prescribed for each subject and according to the applicable instructions.
4. Follow up the attendance and discipline of postgraduate students in accordance with the applicable regulations and instructions.
5. Auditing and unifying the applications for admission to postgraduate studies after receiving them from the scientific department.
6. Audit the cases of transfers to postgraduate studies from other universities to postgraduate studies in the college and refer them to the competent scientific departments for consideration and addressing the relevant authorities.
7. Following up the postgraduate students in terms of time periods and dedicating them to study according to the regulations and instructions.
8. Participating in the meetings of the graduate studies committees in the college when invited by them to discuss postgraduate studies matters and according to the departments' competence in order to ensure good performance. Prepare the discussion statement of the graduate student one week before the date of the discussion, and prepare the minutes of the discussion committees, evaluate them, and submit them to the Faculty Council.
9. Supervise the preparation of annual statistics for postgraduate studies in the college.
10. Deliver the exam books and receive them in accordance with the applicable rules.
11. Announcing the results of the exams after their approval by the postgraduate studies committees in the scientific departments and according to the specialization.
12. Providing the scientific departments with degrees according to a form prepared for this purpose to be approved by the postgraduate study committees.
14. Coordinating with the scientific departments regarding the delivery of the exam questions for the first and second rounds, according to what is applicable in the preliminary studies.
15. Addressing the official departments in everything related to the resume of the graduate student, starting from his registration until his graduation.
16. Addressing the University Presidency / Department of Graduate Studies in all matters related to the biography of the graduate student.
17. Addressing the official departments in obtaining their due approvals regarding the attendees after determining their names and departments by the competent scientific department.
18. Signing the annual bonus and promotion forms for postgraduate employees in his capacity as the Supreme Chairman.
